This is a very different book. This story deals with Miri of Magdala born a prostitute, and hates her life, thinks she will find relief by being stoned. But Joshua saves her and from that moment whisks her away into a new life of his world.

Miri's emotions range from profound self-loathing to the joys of love - love for a man who has only weeks to live. Bound on this earth by human frailty, she listens to his mysterious, but confusing teachings. As Joshua's mistress, and later his wife, she finally realizes the beauty of his doctrine. It opens her eyes to the mysteries of the universe, and this new faith accompanies her when she finally leaves Palestine forever.

Editorial Review
I came across this book a few weeks ago while looking for something different to read. It is a well written non-traditional account of the life and message of Jousha / Jesus. The story is told from Mary Magdalene's point of view. It is her story. She as his Wife gives a moving insiders view to the events and outcome of the life of the most famous man who has ever lived. It is of course "Fiction". However in light of recent events where ancient documents have been uncovered that show Jesus may very well have had a wife. It opens the readers mind that there may have been more to the story than traditional renditions have provided. I recommended it as a good read that will leave you wondering, hoping, loving, and respecting a man and a woman who lived well before our time.
