Annan looks down upon earth regularly and watches a young Ronan play in his solitary garden on earth. She is forbidden to ever have contact with an earth person and must keep all the cloud people secrets, including releasing the geese from weather balloons and healing their damaged wings. She must never tell him that the cloud people make the rainbows and gather the storm clouds from above. But her curiosity gets the better of her and Annan becomes enchanted with the lonely boy below . . .
