The former head of Amsterdam's Murder brigade is found dead.

He was 81 years old, why not let nature take its course? The openly gay, uncompromising and highly neurotic DCI Jac Roggeveen and her squad are handed the investigation. The underbelly of Amsterdam is brought vividly to life by an author who worked in the Legal Profession in The Netherlands for many years and who has been involved in some of the country's major cases of the last twenty years. Many of the characters are based on real people and real events. The book is the first of a trilogy.
