书籍装帧设计是艺术设计专业的重要课程之一，是探索书籍设计规律及书籍设计新表现形式的一门学科。其学习目的主要有两个：首先在于培养学生认识和熟悉当前书籍装帧设计的一般流程和诸多注意事项；其次在于培养学生的创作性思维能力，为书籍装帧设计行业输送更优秀的设计接班人。书籍是人类进步的阶梯，书籍装帧设计是一门综合性的造型艺术，它体现了设计师对书籍内容的领悟，是经过精心策划、有条理、有步骤地捕捉书籍的内涵要素并以市场的需求辅助具体构想，最终构建出的书籍作品，是从选题策划到成书为止整个过程的所有参与者共同努力的成果。在河南安阳"殷墟"发现的商代大量的刻有甲骨文的龟甲、兽骨可以说是中国最早的书籍雏形。随着文字的不断发展和演变，书籍的形式也渐渐完善，书籍装帧形式也更加丰富多样。(Book binding design is an important course of the art & design major and a new discipline in exploring the laws and new performance of book design.It contains two main learning goals,namely helping students understand the general flows and notices of current book binding design and develop students the creative thinking ability, thereby training the excellent book binding designersBooks are the stepping stones to human progress. It is the achievement of designers based on the elaborate and methodic comprehension of books and building of specific idea as required by the market, and also the result of the joint efforts of all the participants in the designing process.The oracle-carved tortoise shells and animal bones carved discovered in "Yin Ruins" are the prototype of books.With the constant development and evolution of characters, the forms of books and book binding become more diversified.)
