My village calls this a curse, my friends a blessing. Something everyone wishes they could do. But I've learned a few things since the last time I chose to forget. Pain teaches us. Loss helps us value life. But what's coming, the dangers my friends and family will face, shake me to my core.

Choosing to forget is not a blessing or a balm, but cowardice. With every fiber of my being, I know this. But against what's coming, the Gods of the Sky raining down on us with fire and death, why not just forget?
