Skinny Minnie Mayver has a skinny familybut no one is as skinny as Minnie! On her birthday, Skinny Minnie likes to go to lunch with her aunt Helen. She always eats a whole Reuben sandwich; a big plate of salty, not-so-skinny fries piled high; two pickle spears; and a thick chocolate shake. But Skinny Minnie always stays so skinny!

Skinny Minnie likes to swim on warm days and zoom around in her skates. Sometimes she hikes on the trails in the woods with her family. She likes to challenge the other kids in her neighborhood to run races, and she usually wins. But everybody always asks her, Skinny Minnie, how do you stay so skinny?
