The Andromeda team need to find an ice planet as the Saggi cannot survive in the cold. Setting down on the coldest planet they can find they discover that humans had already discovered it a century before. Then it was a paradise, and flourished until a great catastrophe hit them and it became frozen for all time. The people had renamed the planet New Manhattan. On the planet they find a ship from their own time, in stasis, their occupants MIA from Universal Alliance 2 years before. Solving the mystery will be interesting. Unfortunately a new race of beings called the Batoxin is on intercept and behind them a serious enemy the Dora. All intend on finding the Andromeda crew. Another unexpected find is a member of Universal Alliance first team, only he isn't who he really is. The Andromeda team set out to find the real man and encounter major resistance. Entering the fray is a Rhesus warlord named Bahl.
