George Denis Patrick Carlin was born on May 12, 1937, and remained waking people up, while entertaining them, till June 22, 2008. To some, he was the "Thinking man's comedian" and others, a modern philosopher.
No doubt there were hundreds -, even thousands of things that his brilliance had touched on, to both shock and wake people up - but of course, he was an entertainer. And brilliant at it.
