Hendrix has run from the D.O.D. (Dept. of Divergence) her whole life, never making lasting connections. She can't afford to with her unusual mix of fae and shape-shifter blood. After she hits a deer on the road - that turns out to be a shape-shifting tribal leader - her fae blood compels her to save his life. Unfortunately, he's running from hellhounds.
