Meyer Lansky ran a gambling casino in Ballston Spa, Saratoga County, New York in the 1950s. His partner, Joseph "Doc" Stacher, was a Ukranian-Jewish immigrant who was raised in New York City near Lansky and Bugsy Siegel. Stacher was also a silent partner in the Sands Hotels casino and other Nevada gaming establishments. My e-book focuses on Stacher's involvement in upstate New York and Nevada gambling interests. He was a major player as Lansky's partner and in the betting industry nationwide. Among his first underworld acquaintances was Prohibition era racketeer Longie Zwillman.
