Liv has been divorced for almost two years. Her ex-husband is serving time for securities and investment fraud. The fall was hard and fast, and Liv found herself homeless and broke. She met author Nick Belasco and, while she finds him attractive, she's not felt ready for another relationship. Liv has worked as Nick's assistant for a year. She gets stuck with him in Cape May when she delivers a hard drive he needs and a nor'easter blows in earlier than anticipated.
