Eminent professors often become eminent on the basis of papers that are largely plagiarized. These same professors block the publication of papers that don't consist entirely of recycled material. They do this so that all of the work in their discipline is recycled, and therefore half-plagiarized, so that their own plagiarized material isn't seen for what it is.
