豫西鲁阳县多半为山，其北鄙有一座葱郁的山岭，呈西南东北走向，绵延百里，古称“青条岭”。此岭系伏牛山东麓余脉，蜿蜒起伏，紫气笼罩，举目眺望，似巨蟒俯卧，如青龙盘旋，祥云缭绕中升腾着缕缕瑞气幽光。大明天启元年，五台山老僧法真云游至此，见状驻足，跣足步踏广袤百里，羡叹曰：“此乃风水宝地，已历万年，龙藏深山，首向大海，享万物之灵气，赏日月之精华，地灵则人杰，后日必出英才。”(The majority of the Lu Yang County in western Henan Province is mountain, there is a lush ridge in its northern side, which ranges from southwest to northeast and stretches for hundreds of miles, and its ancient name is “Qingtiaoling”. This ridge is the stretching branch of the east side of Funiu Mountain, winding down with purple clouds enveloped. Being viewed around, it seems a python lying on the stomach and a green dragon circling, continuous propitious vapors and twilights rises from the winding auspicious clouds. Then he praised that “this is a land of treasure for ten thousand years, which hides in the remote mountains and faces towards the sea, enjoys the spirit of the world and the essence of the sun and moon. A remarkable place will produce outstanding people, so the talents must appear in the future.”)
