This book selects 81 sets of representative classics in the literature history of over 2000 years from the pre-Qin Dynasty to late Qing Dynasty and is arranged in accordance with four classification methods of Confucian classics, historical records, pre-Qin works and collected works, involving literature, art, history, geography, science and technology and private school, including not only short classics such as The Great Learning and Heart Sutra but also great masterpieces such as Shih Chi and Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio.
