PUSHED, JUMPED, OR FALLEN?

Another terrific Estela Nogales Mystery, Deadly Disguise makes for a fun, fast-paced read with fascinating twists and turns.

University counselor Estela Nogales finds herself caught in the middle when the untimely death of a much despised chemistry professor sets off chaos on campus during final exams week.

Together with Detective Muñoz, who is stymied by witnesses scattering for the summer, Estela must use her acute powers of observation to help identify the killer. One calamity after another disrupts the investigation, and Estela is pursued at every turn by the mysterious figure in the hat, even home to the aptly-named Arroyo Loco where a fresh set of crises are unleashed.

Always ready to chip in their two cents, Estela's quirky friends and neighbors in Arroyo Loco join in the investigation leading to many laugh-out-loud moments and exasperated eye-rolls.

A Readers Favorite moment comes when Estela rushes home and finds: "Helen was supposed to be inside comforting Freda, but as I approached I could hear Freda screeching. Helen's presence can sometimes have that effect on people."

As in all the Estela Nogales Mysteries, her irrepressible and talented border collies show off their skills as herders, therapy dogs, canine investigators, and general good companions.

Deadly Disguise kept me guessing to the end. I would definitely read more from Cherie O'Boyle and recommend this book to anyone who loves a good cozy mystery mixed with some humor and of course the Border Collies. I loved it! Five out of five stars for Deadly Disguise!!!

Intelligently written, with well-drawn characters, lots of humor, and a plot that will keep you guessing, Deadly Disguise is a great read for fans of cozy mysteries!
