This book "Holistic Democracy" is written in Sinhala language about Sri Lankan Democracy, in which is discussed theoretical, philosophical and practical approaches from different perspectives. It includes academic articles, interviews, literature and personal views. Having focused on civil society, political organizations and the other structures, it provides a whole sense for common understanding of democracy from bellow to above as a practice and a culture. Especially, as an ethical role of leaning in everyday life, the democracy here suggests to look at into the self of very human being. This editorial project intends to carry on a dialogue among the actors who are getting involved in the field for promoting the concept of democracy.ලංකාවේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා කෙරෙන ලිපි ඇතුළත් මෙම කෘතියට ශාස්ත්‍රීය මට්ටමේ සිට සාමාන්‍ය මට්ටම දක්වා ඇති ලිපි ලංකාව දෙස වෙනස් හා විවිධත්වයකින් හිතීමට පොළඹවනු ඇත. අතුළත්ව ඇත. මෙම කෘතිය සඳහා ලිපි සම්පාදනය කරන ලද කතුවරුන්ගේ ලිපි දෙස බලන විට සමස්ථයක් ලෙස තේරුම් ගත හැකි කාරණය වන්නේ, කුමන මතවාදයක සිටින අයෙකුට උවත් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය යන්න වැදගත් විශේණයක් බවය. ලංකාව වැනි අතිශය සංකීර්ණ ඛේදජනක සිදුවීම් සහ ඉතිහාසය පුරාවට විවිධ වෙනස්කම් වලට මාරු වී ඇති සමාජයක ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය යන සංකල්පය සමාජයේ සෑම තරාතිරකම ප්‍රමුඛ කාරණාවක් බව සාකච්ඡා වන බැවින් විදෙස්ගත අපගේ අභිප්‍රාය වන්නේ මෙම සංවාදය යහපත් භාවිතාවක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වෙමින් මිනිස් වර්ගයාට එහි ථල අතුවනු දැකීමටය. අප කැමැති හා උවමනා කරන යථාර්ථයක් කෙටි නිමේෂයකින් සාක්ෂාත් කර ගත නො හැකි වුවත් සමාජ වෙනසක් පිණිස බුද්ධිමත් ජනයාගේ නිසඟ දායකත්වය විසින් ඉතිහාසය වෙනස් කර ඇත.
