Summer Jacobs is stuck living her mother’s dream of becoming an Olympic Figure Skater. An avid reader, Summer prefers visiting her grandfather’s ranch, where she finds peace and happiness under her favorite tree with her most beloved stories. 
Needing a break from everyday life, Summer and her friends visit the ranch one last time before they enter their senior year of high school. For her friends it’s the trip of a lifetime, but for Summer, it’s a struggle distinguishing between finding peace and falling in love with a troubled boy.
