Life could be so good for Dr. Tiffany LeBlanc. If only she could keep her cheating fiancé in check, and get her parents’ approval for once. Brought up in the social snobbery of Houston’s elite inner circle, Tiffany was only too happy to leave it all behind her for southwest Louisiana’s joie de vivre lifestyle. Scott 'Red’ McAllister comes from much different stock. With his Cajun-Scottish lineage, he was raised in a large, boisterous, lovable, but hard-working family in a tiny Louisiana farming community. He’s a highly respected business owner of one successful club in Lafayette, with his second under construction in Lake Coburn. Red’s confirmed bachelor status takes a hard hit upon meeting the good doctor several months earlier. A decision to steal Tiffany away from her unappreciative fiancé puts a wrinkle in the plans of his old college nemesis, Tanner Collins.

With a relationship with Tiffany looming, the tide turns ominously for Red. One anonymous phone call promising disaster for him, leads to another, each more baffling to the business man. A tragic fire is only the beginning of someone’s plans to make his life a living hell, and he’s stumped as to why anyone would want him ruined. The one thing he’s sure of, is that he can’t be sure of anything—not even a promising new relationship with “Doc”.
