本教材共分为六章。绪论及前四章是从总体上阐述芳香植物的定义和范畴、种类与分布、分类、栽培技术要点以及采收等；第五章则分别从草本、木本、藤本的角度对常见的近60种芳香植物的栽培技术进行了介绍，具体包括植物学特征、生物学特性、栽培技术、采收、化学成分及用途等方面；第六章根据芳香植物栽培的特点，选择了芳香植物的种类识别、芳香植物的播种与育苗技术、扦插繁殖、整形修剪、挥发油的提取及成分测定等关键技术环节进行实验实训。（This textbook consists of six chapters. The introduction and the first four chapters explain the definition, category, species, distribution, classification, cultivation techniques and harvesting of aromatic plants; the fifth chapter introduces the cultivation techniques of some 60 kinds of common aromatic plants from the herbal, woody and lianoid perspectives, covering botanical characteristics, biological characteristics, cultivation techniques, harvesting, chemical composition and application; and the sixth chapter, based on the characteristics of aromatic plant cultivation, describes the experimental training on species identification, sowing and seedling techniques, cutting propagation, shaping pruning, volatile oil extraction, composition determination and other key technical links of aromatic plants. ）
