Alex Lockhart struggles to come to terms with her new reality, with what she’s become.  But even with all of the darkness surrounding her, she finds herself feeling for someone as she never has in her life.  These new feelings give her hope.  They give her a reason to go on in her new world.  But a dark force still looms and threatens to not only destroy her, but everything she cares about.  Can she stand in the face of pure evil and survive?  Or will she be another casualty of the vampire extinction?
