Excited and anxious, Seren is about to graduate from college and finally embark on her life—a life that didn’t have the easiest start. When she can’t find a job in Smyrna due to a financial recession, she returns home. Her abusive and mentally ill father callously throws Seren out upon her arrival. She leaves his house penniless and following the footsteps of her rebellious hopes and dreams.

She finds Uncle Alp, a seventy-five-year-old man she met in a nursing home while training to become a psychiatric nurse. She knocks on his door in search of the father she has never had. Uncle Alp decides to end his 40 years of loneliness and accommodates her in his old abandoned flat in Smyrna. Despite the best intentions, Uncle Alp cannot think of Seren in a fatherly manner, and he falls in love with her. Men in the neighborhood want to take advantage of Seren’s youthful vulnerability while stigmatising her as a whore for living in Uncle Alp’s house.
