Phil Bennett is an aspiring writer, and best friend of Detective Gary Celdom. At the urging of his girlfriend, he obtains a part-time job only to stumble into a string of petty thefts within the company. With the guidance of his colleagues, and the spirit of a former love, Phil struggles to cope with his new employment, a bossy roommate, and his budding long-distance relationship.
