Tammy is tired of homeschool and growing vegetables and farm animals for sustance. She's ready to spread her wings leave the farm, and family behind. Escaping a home where she feels she doesn't fit in.
Frequently, she sneaks across the creek to Mare Valley, the local horse farm, and her best friend, Genell. The horses need her more than her own mother, and pesky younger brothers. They ride, prepare for shows, laugh, and eat foods she never sees at home.  
Only, the new world unravels around her. Her best friend isn't telling her everything. She  flies from home to her older sister in the city.
Only, the secrets her own family are hiding threaten everything she has known.
She struggles with life, death, and forbidden treats, learning to live gluten free in a gluten filled world full of surprises.
