Have you ever been trapped inside a room with a glass wall where you can see what is going on in the world around you while you are trapped? If so, you have lived autism. If you have not experienced this then you are about to experience this through the eyes of someone who has autism. People with autism often feel like they are locked in a room full of glass windows. They see and hear their peers. With sound proof glass no one can hear them because they aren't speaking the right language or they are not being heard. We are the people of autism and we are trapped. We want out but we remain stuck and even though someone holds the key to open the door and let us free we are not sure exactly who has that key. This is a great book describing what is is like to see the world around you through glass walls while you are locked inside of a dark room. This book is about living with autism and how autistic people can see the world.
