Becoming a Freshman was an exciting time for Travis. Life is supposed to be amazing in high school but when Asperger Syndrome crept into the picture Travis would have to find a way to overcome some serious social struggles in order to put together an enjoyable life as a high school student. There were many challenges but with each challenge was a social triumph or victory for Travis to celebrate. Travis and his family worked very hard to help him overcome many social and educational issues that he had in school. It would be years before they learned that he had Asperger Syndrome. While Travis' social challenges caused many educational and academic issues he would not change one thing about his life because it was those social challenges in high school that helped make him the person he is today. Travis shares how he overcame years of bullying in high school to become the person he is today.
