The novel describes the sharp conflict among Karamazov and his three sons, namely two generations through the real patricide case. Karamazov was greedy and lust who even occupying the legacy of his wife left to their sons exclusively and fought for a dissolute woman with his eldest son Dmitry. One night, Dmitry suspected that his lover might have a tryst with his father, then he broke into the home and almost killed his father anxiously. After he fled in panic, the old Karamazov's illegitimate son Smerdyakov who has been hiding in the dark to pretend to be ill killed his father in secret and resulted an intricate murder shocking Russia nationwide as well as a series of thrilling events.
