The author, a sociologist, did a lot of research before writing the present book. In the present book, the author examines twelve popular American High School history textbooks thoroughly and critically. Having gone through these history textbooks, the author reaches a conclusion that the authors of these textbooks have propagated false, Eurocentric, and mythologized views of American history.The author also points out that several themes that he presents in this book have been ignored by American high school history textbooks. The author criticizes the dominant historical themes that are explored in these textbooks.
