The first and most often chosen way to relieve sunburn pain and get rid of sunburns is to use a topical cream. The first thing you should look for in a topical sunburn cream is lidocaine. Lotions with lidocaine will not only help to return the moisture your skin lost from getting the sunburn, the lidocaine will relieve the burn and sting from a sunburn to help the pain disappear. Look for a sunburn pain relief product that contains lidocaine and aloe vera or cocoa butter for the best relief.
Sunburn symptoms include redness, swelling or pain and tenderness at the sunburn location. In addition, you may experience headache, fever or fatigue.
