Kailyn Wilde enjoys running her magick shop, Abracadabra, in the quaint hamlet of New Camel, New York. Her family's been here for centuries, but the place may never be the same if plans for a big new hotel go through. So Kailyn does her civic duty, attending a town meeting with her aunt Tilly...and Merlin. Yes, that Merlin—though he gets introduced to folks as her "distant English cousin."

Though the wizard is pretty grumpy about being transported to New Camel, Kailyn figures she could use the backup if the hotel debate gets heated.
