Life couldn't have been better for Buzzie Bee, until she overhears some disturbing news. Buzzie becomes furious and starts a revolt among the younger worker bees. The angry bees leave so they can devise a more fair way to live. In the new hive, the young bees argue and fight over who should do the work. All the bees want the easiest job. Buzzie tries to help them, but she's shouted down. Buzzie is frustrated trying to lead the bees to a better way of life. But can bees be happy without a queen?
