When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, "Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry; for the land commits flagrant harlotry, forsaking the Lord." (Hos 1:2) More importantly, it is an exploration of God's enduring love for his chosen people as demonstrated in the miraculous return of the once thoroughly scattered Jews from the ends of earth to their land, the modern state of Israel.
