Sacred Pilgrimages in México are multitudinous walks made by devoted religious believers in sacred routes on special days of spiritual opportunity. The Zapopan pilgrimage or "romeria" along with other "romerías" and religious celebrations constitute an important religious, magical and ritual testimony of the creative and complementary fusion of the most sacred that have sustained the Mexican nation for thousands of years. The powerful and ancient soul of Mexico has synthesized through great sacrifices the best of the sacred elements that join the Nahuatl and Spanish cultures together into the Mexican or "mestizo" culture. The sacred pilgrimages are re-presentations of this syncretism. Agustin's "New Way" group has as a main objective the creative and respectful fusion of the best that exists in these two cultures in their own activities and could not be absent on this special day in which the powerful masculine energies deposited in the metropolitan cathedral of the city of Guadalajara were going to be carried as it happens every year on October 12th in a safe and devoted way to the Zapopan Basilica or main church through a multitude of believers that were walking with their heavenly lady general to her abode, with the Virgin Mary of Zapopan, the mother of the living God.
