Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2015 in the subject Art - Photography and Film, , language: English, abstract: The nude theme has always exercised a certain fascination both on artists and on the general public. With numerous pretexts, such as dance, sport, exotism and science, the photographic nude, originally having an erotic intent, became public and was being introduced "in society". The history of nude is also the history of its presentation and use, which testifies the ongoing shift of values, prejudices, taboos and transgressions relative to beauty, health, gender roles, and sexuality. The beauty of the male body has to be more considered, just like during the classic age when Greeks and Romans left us with few great examples of male nude art work. I have chosen to present male figures that can transmit beauty and emotions. This work contains photographs taken of 7 male models, with their answers to some questions about nudity and nude art.
