Phil Derry and his men had struggled through the snow until they reached the hill. With night falling, they still couldn't get through on the radio for help. The enemy set up camp at the base and readied to attack in the morning. Out of ammo and with no way to escape, this exhausted officer had to consider surrender but much weirder events would now take priority.A short story for any reader.
