Death and scandal is stalking London's Soho, and the police seem less than interested. When a friend who's never taken a drug in his life is found dead in an alleyway, and the police are dismissing it as just an overdose, the obstetrician John Watson can't help but be suspicious. His boyfriend however, is a hard-headed, high-living lawyer – who answers only to his family name of Holmes – and remains convinced that John is being overly-dramatic. But when a new party drug races through the scene, when scandal and rumour threaten the reputation of nightclub owners, journalists and priests alike, the naturally deductive instincts of the lawyer Holmes come to the fore. At first reluctant to be involved, Holmes finds himself inexplicably drawn in, using his mind, his wits… and even some of Watson's consummate social skills, to uncover the truth. But drug suppliers aren't the only ones willing to do anything to protect their profits, and 21st century London is a city full of scandal, intrigue, and beautiful people.
