Sugar has been a part of human lives for many generations. This book presents a narrative from sugar's own perspective, based on its own observations of human behaviour throughout its long history. From its humble beginnings in serene natural sugarcane groves, sugar's fate changed dramatically as soon as humans discovered it as a rich source of sweetness for their food and drinks.
