It was only a matter of time before Tele and Quinn encountered the real enemy, Gaul and his hunters. During the clash on the dead planet, they are blindsided by a new weapon, and the veran forces overwhelm them. Barely making it out alive, Tele takes Quinn to a safe haven where he answers every question Quinn (and the reader) has. Over a billion years of history was shown to Quinn in less than ten seconds. After everything he has been through, Quinn is filled with rage, and he seeks revenge. Tele recruits two alien refugees with special abilities, and together, the veran resistance strikes an offensive.
