Harold Gibbons was a progressive unionist who came to St. Louis during the 1940s. He was considered a likely successor to James Riddle "Jimmy" Hoffa as President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters until the two labor leaders clashed in 1963. Before this they were a tandem as president and vice president of the largest union. My e-book looks at Gibbons as a liberal unionist who began to disagree with Hoffa on the aims and direction of the Teamsters as an organization.
