文体大师纳博科夫最受争议的作品《洛丽塔》曾激发了两位导演的灵感,两度将其搬上大屏幕,也促使纳博科夫尝试创作了自己的唯一一部电影剧本。主人公亨伯特·亨伯特,一位接受过高等教育,行为却逾越道德范畴的欧洲移民,迷恋上一个可爱却又危险无情的青春期女孩,开始了一段疯狂的恋情。纳博科夫在书中打破了性﹑道德和美感等方面的固定表达模式,将电影的结构性和叙述性语言融合在一起,构成了一部恶作剧式的幻想曲。剧本保留了小说中智慧而诗意的语言,但考虑到大屏幕呈现的限制,故事和小说有相当大的不同,对读者来说将是一次充满兴奋感和满足感的阅读体验。( When I saw this film for the first time, I felt angry, disappointed, but still reluctantly happy. I think a lot of creative ideas irrelevant to the topic (such as the scenes of terribly shoving back and forth or drinking whiskey in the bathtub frantically) is very gratifying, while some other inverted creative ideas (such as the collapse of the camping bed or the edge of Miss Weileon’s fine pajamas) is annoying. Most of the scenes are not actually much better than the one I carefully wrote for Kubrick. I have to feel sorry for wasting my time while admire Kubrick’s perseverance, because he has suffered from the development of a useless form of torture for about six months in total. But I was wrong. I remembered the inspiration I got on the hills during which I laid on the lawn recliners under the blue-flowered trees with the inner dynamics and the mood of gratification, and soon…… )
