Fire and Ice follows the lives of two sisters, Becky and Suzy years after the mysterious death of their mother. Becky and Suzy Roi become estranged from their father and leave home because of his deceit and unfaithfulness to their mother. Shortly after college Becky and Suzy meet and marry Elan and Tate, both members of today's Wampanoag tribe. Together the two couples forge a plan to avenge the death of Becky's and Suzy's mother and to gain access to the Davies family fortune; a fortune that was paid for by the blood of Native Americans who inhabited the valley. As the plot unfolds they quickly discover that what they were told about their mother's death is nowhere near the truth. The sister's desire for revenge stirs up old investigations of cold cases and deep seeded feelings of hatred for their father and a woman named Misha Prince; a woman who had an affair with their father and still lusts after him. The sisters make an unusual alliance with Misha as part of their revenge for the death of their mother. With the help of their husbands, Elan and Tate the plan for revenge takes on a life of its own. But unknown to the two sisters their husbands are plotting to seek the money and power for their own. In the midst of this story of revenge lies an unresolved mystery; A mystery fueled by a curse which plays out in the backdrop of the fertile fields and towns of the Connecticut River Valley. It is a mystery that originated from a mid-1600s curse. A curse that Becky and Suzy inherited. A curse that needs to be resolved so the two sisters can move on with their lives.
