A black cat is unwanted and dumped on a country road. He sets out to find a nice home before winter. After several tries, and unhappy experience,s he finds an elderly couple and goes about winning their affection. He must win the heart of the old woman to stay. This is not as easy as he thought it would be. The old woman doesn't want him. He wants to live here and goes about trying to make her want him. He feels this is a good home for him. The old man is all for him staying, the old woman must want him.
