The purpose of literature is to depict the reality of the human condition of which the most effective form is the short story, provided it is written in the most simplistic way to achieve universality of expression. This compilation of short stories deals with the human effort to soften the loneliness of the human state of being in the absence of "reality". Simultaneously, embedded in the human subconscious is the fantasy of the existence of the supernatural, which would unlock the mystery of human existence.
