Everyone nowadays seems to have problems—money, health, politics, personal commitment, sexual identity. But if you think things are tough in the present, wait till you experience the Middle Ages. None of that mythical Arthur-Galahad-Merlin stuff but the real thing—harsh laws, unruly peasants, primitive medicine, heavy taxes and the continual prospect of violence.
