This is a fun romp through the African bush with a young boy named Matthew as he learns to deal with the problems of moving to a new home and making new friends. He plays and talks with many different animals. Matthew through the wit and wisdom of his new friends learns that is most important to be himself. Since many children face this difficulty with much anxiety, this story approaches the idea in a fresh way that assists the child in dealing with problems and helps them come face to face with their own ears. It is a great tool for parents to assist their child to explore their feelings in a very non-threatening way.

Story Themes: Being comfortable with being yourself. Showing off, bragging/boasting ... stretching the truth doesn't work. Copying others to make friends doesn't work.
