Roddy Macintosh is a cool guy, he's a popular guy, he's everyone's pal...well, almost everyone's. And when he awakes on the tiled high school floor, after being knocked out, he, along with all in attendance, knows who suspect number one is. Bud Gar has always had it out for Roddy Macintosh and having an unhinged mind as he does, it's easy to see Bud driving a blunt object into the back of Mr. Popular's head, for he's never been at Roddy's level, and for that he wants redemption, he wants revenge. Macintosh and his girlfriend Alison attempt to figure out exactly who the culprit is, but the aftermath of Roddy's head trauma keeps getting in the way, bringing him to a calm and yet, terribly frightening world, where a conscious mind can't visit.
