Téann Eoin Ó Síocháin, gníomhaí óg cearta daonna as Co. an Chláir, go dtí an Bhrasaíl chun taighde a dhéanamh ar choimhlint fhuilteach idir treibh bhundúchasach agus úinéirí talún. De réir mar a chuireann sé aithne ar mhuintir na háite tagann sé ar an tuiscint nach bhfuil an scéal chomh simplí agus a shíl sé ar dtús – ach faoin am sin, tá sé rómhall. In aghaidh a thola, beidh ról lárnach le himirt ag Eoin sa choimhlint nuair a thagann sí chun buaice. (Note: there is no English language translation of the text in the book.) Eoin Ó Síocháin, a young human rights activist from Co. Clare, travels to Brazil to research the violent conflict between a native tribe and local landowners. As he gets to know the locals, he begins to understand that the story is not as simple as he thought – but by that time, it's too late. Against his wishes, Eoin will have a key part to play when the conflict comes to a head.
