A gambling syndicate that operated above a prominent Terre Haute, Indiana restaurant in the late 1950s was a multi-million dollar operation. The business was nationwide and featured mobsters from Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Las Vegas. My e-book looks at the reach of the betting ring and the men who controlled it. One of the most noteworthy events to grow out of the syndicate involved two prominent American athletic officials from major universities in the South.
