The 14th International Conference of Annual European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) took place in Ankara, June 2007 with the theme 'Managing Operations in an Expanding Europe'. The Conference aimed to offer an opportunity for considering past developments in the field of operations management in Europe, as well as looking ahead at the trends in the foreseeable future. The conference brought participants together from different countries and backgrounds, all with a shared interest in operations management research. A wide variety of aspects regarding supply chains, issues of global manufacturing, service operations management, innovation, technology management and international OM was covered in the presentations and papers. After a careful review and revision process, a selection of the best papers from the conference have been assembled into this e-book. The four papers in this e-book present some of the newest and most exciting research challenges in operations management.
