When WBFD-TV's newest anchor, Aspen Wicklow, misses her debut broadcast and ends up in jail, she's assigned an unpleasant job—find out whether midnight screams coming from local landmark Kirk House are an urban legend, or something far more sinister. While visiting the burned-out shell, Aspen encounters a young Goth girl known as Paper Cut. Later, Paper Cut admits to being an undercover cop and it's her job is to find out who murdered a pregnant Goth girl and removed the near-term infant from her dead body. Connecting the dots between these victims and Kirk House leads Aspen into a life-and-death situation more frightening than anything she could imagine.
