It's the turbulent 1970s, a time of social upheaval. This exciting police procedural, up there with the best of Ed McBain's 87th Precinct books, was adapted into the movie-length pilot for The Streets of San Francisco, starring Karl Malden and Michael Douglas. The character names and setting were changed but the rest is pure Carolyn Weston, who wrote two more Krug & Kellog thrillers, Susannah Screaming and Rouse the Demon, both of which are being published by Brash Books.
